Prevention and treatment for HIV and other STIs should be FREE FOR ALL.\n\nCommemorating World AIDS Day 2023 and promoting the above statement, this work was produced and minted on December 1st 2023 as a free mint open for a week. If something is good and free, do you share or keep the alpha? Would you help promote a public good even if it doesn't personally concern you? Do you dare discuss the Purpose of Art openly and publicly?\n\nI was born and live in Brazil, land of contrasts, paradoxes, of the flashy struggle between natural entropy and human control. In a country (like so many others) where people are still routinely violated and murdered for merely expressing their sexuality, gender identity or even just for living in their own skin, surprisingly, full health care is a fundamental right, guaranteed by the constitution and available for free to all persons on national soil. As a consequence of this conquered collective right, I have had the privilege to develop my sexuality freely and for decades to enjoy my sexual life without worrying about HIV transmission, because the state provides a wide array of prevention and treatment options completely for free — from education to condoms to advanced PrEP and PEP (pre and post-exposure prophylaxys) modalities, vaccines, and antiretroviral medicine. For an enormous population of people who don't conform to oppressive religious standards of celibacy or were betrayed by the false promises of monogamy, this means the difference between living your life fully and developing your self-expression into adulthood, or wasting your years away as an indebted hostage of the pharmaceutical industries.\n\n4000x6000 jpeg photoperformance self-portrait.","attributes":[{"trait_type":"Artist","value":"Hugo Faz"},{"trait_type":"Category","value":"Photoperformance"},{"trait_type":"Date Created","value":"December 1, 2023"},{"trait_type":"Location","value":"São Paulo, Brazil"},{"trait_type":"Materiality","value":"Condom"}],"image_details":{"bytes":13166695,"format":"JPEG","sha256":"8be9ddc94609a9bad4cb6785e65267535683407549841b0272383342e313b887","width":4000,"height":6000},"image":"https://arweave.net/P10NNXAYWusdTeTmpG5e-y_VOcWXgRMPo2ymbimVGFQ","image_url":"https://arweave.net/P10NNXAYWusdTeTmpG5e-y_VOcWXgRMPo2ymbimVGFQ"}
